Ms. Meta Meta is a satirical video series in the style of popular beauty tutorials led by the sassy social media alter ego, meta meta. The work creates a new beauty standard that embraces visible flaws and questions idealized beauty standards. It also explores how media messages from the internet intensify the boundary between different groups of people. The experience, overall, is a cyberfeminism, dream-like world where beauty standards have been upended and are replaced by new, irreverent, and playful ideas.
